What
is ISO 9002?
ISO is a written set of standards created and published by the
International Organization for Standardization. In short, ISO 9002 defines
the basic elements of the system businesses should use to ensure that
their products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Our
Quality Policy:
Sunbelt Telecommunications is dedicated to providing distribution and
value-added services that meet or exceed customer needs in a timely
manner. We will achieve this by developing relationships with quality
manufacturers and empowering the whole Sunbelt team to strengthen quality
and process improvement.
Our
Objectives:
-Conformance
of our quality system to ISO 9002 standards
-Communicate our quality policy and objectives to all employees
-Achievement of committed delivery schedule rates above 95%
-Expand efforts to make all processes efficient
Our
Quality System:
Sunbelt Telecommunications has defined standards that address performance,
safety, and reliability. We are able to meet the standards above by:
-Defining our customers needs
-Implementing corrective actions and controls to prevent customer
dissatisfaction
-Optimizing
quality related costs
-Building commitment within our workforce
-Continuously reviewing requirements and successes to seek ways to
improve.
Sunbelt’s
principles with respect to ISO:
We used ISO to set in motion the basic elements of a quality system within
our organization. By using our system we plan the means by which quality
will be achieved, document the plans into operating procedures,
communicate the procedures to everyone in the organization, monitor our
efforts, and modify the procedures on a controlled basis to improve them
based on the feedback.
While
we have been putting focus on quality-related issues, we have also become
TL 9000 compliant so as to continue our improvements in processes. We are
currently going forward to be TL 9000 certified.
